If you want to be alcohol-free-as-fuck (AFAF), and are struggling, then maybe, it’s time to focus on something else?

Leave your goal to be AFAF aside.

Where else in your life are you finding it difficult to delay gratification?

Where do you have the tiniest period of time between your thought of a thing and doing that thing?

Masturbation?

Porn use?

Doom scrolling on social media?

Online shopping?

Binge watching shows?

Eating the ice cream in the fridge?

Self-reflect, and focus on one of these things and see if that’s easier for you because here’s the thing. You don’t have an alcohol problem. You have a problem with experiencing uncomfortableness in your nervous system. The more often you sit through these uncomfortable experiences, you’re showing the PARTS of your psyche that believe you can’t cope that you can. Then this becomes your new norm because the PARTS of your psyche that were afraid of the uncomfortableness no longer are.
